Who Makes It

By Nature is a line of dry dog and cat food owned by BrightPet Nutrition Group of Lisbon, Ohio, which also owns the Blackwood and Adirondack brands and makes pet food for other companies. The company says its recipes are slow-cooked and include a blend it calls SUPERFUSION, made up of proteins, superfoods and probiotics. 1, 2

BrightPet says it makes By Nature at facilities it owns rather than using an outside co-packer. The brand's website lists locations in Lisbon, Ohio, Sherburne, New York, and Kiel, Wisconsin. 2, 3

History

Kent Pet Group, part of the Kent Corporation, previously sold By Nature and discontinued it in the US in 2016. BrightPet Nutrition Group bought the brand in June 2017 and relaunched it in May 2019 with four dog recipes and two indoor cat recipes. Worth Knowing
