Who Makes It
KOHA is a pet food brand based in Delray Beach, Florida, founded by Lonnie and Jennifer Schwimmer. It is known for limited-ingredient and bland diet recipes for dogs and cats, which the company says are meant for pets with sensitive stomachs and food sensitivities. 1, 2
Where It Is Made
KOHA does not appear to run its own plants. Its food is made by contract manufacturers, including Simmons Foods, Tuffy's Pet Foods, Barrett Pet Food, Eurocan Pet Products, Muenster Milling and Asian Alliance, with facilities in the US, Canada and Thailand. 1
History
KOHA's LinkedIn page gives 2014 as its founding year. The Schwimmers also own the pet grooming line Nootie, and Lonnie Schwimmer is the CEO of both brands. KOHA released its first shredded cat food in pouches in 2019. 2, 1, 3
