Nutrition facts for your page

Writing about a dog food, or selling one? Paste this box onto your page and your readers get the label in a form they can compare: the guaranteed analysis, the same figures on a dry-matter basis, an estimate of the starch and the first five ingredients. It is free, it works for any of the 2,297 foods we cover, and it keeps itself up to date.

    02 // Pick a look
    03 // Copy the code

Paste it into an HTML block on your page (in WordPress, a Custom HTML block). The figures are not in the code: the box loads them from our database every time, so when a recipe changes, your page changes with it. Sites that block scripts show a plain credit line instead of the box.

    Free, with credit

Use it on a blog, a shop, a brand site or a vet clinic page. No sign-up. Please keep the credit line and both links as they are, and don't edit the figures. If a number looks wrong, tell us and every copy of the box gets the fix.

    Nothing on your readers

The box sets no cookies, stores nothing in the browser and loads nothing from anyone else. The one thing we note is the address of a page showing a box, so we know where it is used. Our privacy policy has the detail.

    Where the numbers come from

The guaranteed analysis printed on the bag: protein and fat are minimums, fiber and moisture maximums. Dry matter is the same figures with the water taken out, so foods of different moisture compare fairly. Starch is not on any label; we estimate it from what is left once protein, fat, fiber, moisture and ash (assumed at 6%) are taken out.
