Who Makes It

Sojos is a raw pet food brand owned by Wellness Pet Company, whose other brands include Wellness, WHIMZEES, Old Mother Hubbard, Eagle Pack and Holistic Select. The brand is known for dehydrated and freeze-dried raw foods that owners rehydrate at home, including Mix-a-Meal pre-mixes and protein toppers. 1, 2

Where It Is Made

Sojos says all of its products, from treats to Complete and Pre-Mix recipes, are made in its Minnesota kitchens. At the time of the 2016 acquisition, the announcement said Sojos products would continue to be made in Minneapolis at Sojos' own facilities. 3, 4

Sojourner Farms introduced Sojos in Minnesota in 1985, and Ward and Maggie Johnson later owned and ran the family business. In January 2016, WellPet (now Wellness Pet Company) acquired Sojos and said the brand would stay based in Minneapolis. 4, 5
