- Is a grain, helping balance the fiber content in your dog’s diet. The kind of minerals and vitamins that can be found in rice include manganese, phosphorus, micain, vitamin B6 and vitamin E.
- This ingredient is probably white rice which is slightly lower in nutritional value than the brown rice listed above. White rice undergoes further processing vs. brown rice and due to this fact that it loses some of these properties. It is still a low-fat carbohydrate source and also provides some protein to this diet.
- Rice provides very digestible carbohydrates.
- This is assumed to be white rice and is still considered to be a better than average carbohydrate source for puppy and dog food. Although not as rich in nutrients a brown rice, white rice does provide some proteins, vitamins and minerals to this puppy food as well. Rice is also less likely to be involved in food allergies and so may be a good choice for those with sensitivities to other more common ingredients such as wheat and corn.
