Three Kibbles ‘n Bits dry foods no longer listed by brand

Beefy Bits, Homestyle Grilled Beef & Vegetable Flavors, and Meaty Middles Prime Rib Flavor are absent from the brand’s current lineup.

Which recipes are gone from the lineup

When we checked Kibbles 'n Bits’ current dry food range on September 28, 2026, three foods we review were no longer listed: Beefy Bits Dry Dog Food, Homestyle Grilled Beef & Vegetable Flavors Dry Dog Food, and Meaty Middles Prime Rib Flavor Dry Dog Food. A fresh check of the brand’s product page found seven dry food recipes, with none of those three among them.

This confirms a change in what the brand lists as its current range. We did not find a brand statement saying when the recipes left the lineup or whether production has stopped. An old product page at a store does not settle that question either.

What is different

Availability is the clear change. Kroger still has a page for Beefy Bits, but it shows pickup and delivery unavailable for the location displayed. Walmart still has a page for Meaty Middles Prime Rib Flavor, but its 16.5-pound size is marked out of stock. H-E-B’s Homestyle listing says the food is not sold at the store displayed. Stock may differ by location.

A Bernese Mountain Dog watches a hand fold a nearly empty plain food bag beside a bowl with a few kibble pieces.

These foods also had distinct names and textures. Kroger describes Beefy Bits as crunchy kibble with soft, meaty bits. Walmart describes Meaty Middles as having a chewy center and crunchy outer layer. The current brand list includes other beef-flavored foods, but we have not established that any is a direct replacement or has the same ingredients, texture, or nutrition.

What owners can do

If your dog eats one of these recipes, check the full name on the bag against the brand’s current range. A similar beef flavor or familiar bag color does not mean the food is the same recipe. Our Beefy Bits, Homestyle Grilled Beef & Vegetable Flavors, and Meaty Middles Prime Rib Flavor review pages each list alternatives to compare.

If you change foods, compare the ingredient list, guaranteed analysis, calorie information, and nutritional adequacy statement. The brand advises changing food gradually over 7 to 10 days. Its current FAQ also says Kibbles 'n Bits is recommended for adult dogs and is not recommended for puppies, so check the life stage statement on the specific bag.

What to check on the bag

Before feeding a bag already at home, read its exact recipe name, feeding directions, and “Best if Used By” date. The brand says that date appears on the bag. If the food’s name or label differs from what your dog usually eats, use the information on that bag to judge the change. The brand’s product page shows what it currently lists, but it does not explain why these three foods are absent.
